Tourmaline Cut Stone, Marquise, Pink, 3 x 6 mm

The Tourmaline group refers to a number of related species and varieties. In 1703 the Dutch imported it from Sri Lanka to Western and Central Europe where it gained its name 'Turmali' which means 'stone with mixed colours'.  

These cut stones have a smooth, polished surface.
