Aventurine is a soft opaque stone, it is usually dark green with a metallic glittery appearence, which is caused by green or red / golden brown mica flecks (fuchsite - hematite leaves). The stone is believed to give off positive prosperity and wearing it is meant to absorb and protect you against environmental pollution.
