Peridot Beads

Peridot Beads

Peridot is the birthstone for August and the 15th anniversary gemstone. Peridot is the zodiac stone for those born under the sign of Libra. Colour: from a brown-green color to yellowish green to pure green. Yellowish green is the most common Peridot colour seen in jewellery. Most gemstones are coloured by impurities such as iron. Mohs hardness: 6.5 to 7. Peridot has extremely high double refraction: when you look closely through the gem, you can see two each pavilion facet. The Egyptians called it the “gem of the sun.”

Peridot carries the gift of inner radiance, sharpening the mind and opening it to new levels of awareness and growth, helping one to recognize and realize one’s destiny and spiritual purpose.

Wear or carry Peridot as a talisman of luck and as a sun stone to prevent personal darkness. It adds charm and eloquence to your presentations, evokes a positive, helpful response from normally unhelpful people, and increases profit in trades. It is naturally protective against envy, gossip behind your back, and people who would deceive you.

Peridots have held significance for thousands of years. Whether worn as an amulet of protection or for increase in one’s love and happiness, and profit, it was required to be set in gold for its virtues to be the most powerful.
